Well... The last few months have flown by and I cant believe lift off day is nearly upon us. With bag (mostly) packed, things seemed to be going (fairly) smoothly. Until... my dog decides to eat my malaria tablet box!!! First response (after the oh crap) was to make sure she didnt eat the tablets. Would have felt ripped off if she had as I cant even get her to take worm tablets! All tablets accounted for (phew) but most of box and label missing. Looks like there's going to be an unplanned trip back to the doctor to grab another script. By now, the doctor and I are on first name basis after all injections and such needed for this trip. The other hiccup in the smooth sailing came in the form of mother nature. Oh yes she is mighty and never afraid to yield her power. This time in the form of a massive low pressure system bringing truck loads of rain and winds. With the impending down pours and potential risk of a cancelled flight to Sydney. We've made yhe decision to cancel our flights and accept the kind offer by Carmel and David to hitch a ride with them. The only catch... Davids eccentric taste in music. Im sure we'll survive. I do have a set of ear plugs in my bag... somewhere. So with three days to go, we are excited beyond belief and ready to go!!!
